Cortex Butler Sr. founded Music City Flea Market Gear LLC in 2019 to challenge the overpriced and outdated flea market model. Cortex is a skilled and energetic entrepreneur with an 8-year manufacturing partnership with various factories in China, the United States, Pakistan, Asia, and South Korea. For the past 15 years, he has sourced apparel from factories/suppliers and sold it to consumers, and he has witnessed how overpriced alleged items at flea markets can be.
We’ve also seen vendors set prices that are almost fixated, denying customers the fun of haggling that draws bargain hunters to flea markets.
At the same time, we’ve seen flea market vendors sell ridiculously overpriced items in poor condition, defeating the purpose of shopping at a flea market- low cost and high quality.

The Music City Flea Market, which debuted in 2019, began as a small business in Nashville, Tennessee. Starting the Flea Market was a consistent, slow and steady growth approach because we are extremely customer-centric and were determined to get all the parameters right, having nurtured this idea for about 20 years.
Since then, the flea market has grown in popularity and expanded to the point where we now have partnerships and many wonderful customer relationships.
